We are seeking a nurturing enthusiastic and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Lincoln starting as soon as possible. This is a wonderful opportunity for a teacher who enjoys Key Stage 1 and is passionate about supporting pupils as they consolidate early learning and prepare for the transition into Key Stage 2.

As the Year 2 Teacher you will be responsible for delivering a broad and balanced curriculum supporting pupils academically socially and emotionally. You will help pupils achieve key stage milestones while fostering independence and a growth mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Plan deliver and assess engaging lessons across the Year 2 curriculum
Create a structured positive and inclusive classroom environment
Use assessment to track progress and inform planning and interventions
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils including SEND and EAL
Promote positive behaviour independence and a love of learning
Prepare pupils for end-of-Key Stage 1 assessments in a supportive way
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants colleagues and senior leaders
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress
Contribute to staff meetings CPD and whole-school initiatives
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1 ideally Year 2
Demonstrate strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment requirements
Be organised enthusiastic and proactive
Have excellent classroom management and communication skills
Be reflective adaptable and committed to professional development
Show a strong commitment to inclusion safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
