Job Summary

The duties and responsibilities of Sr BI Officer include:

  1. Business Intelligence & Data Analytics

Design develop and maintain interactive dashboards and analytical products for TB programs (case finding treatment outcomes service pathways CI & TPT private sector engagement).

Conduct descriptive and advanced analytics to identify trends performance gaps geographic variations and service delivery bottlenecks.

Generate predictive and scenario-based analyses to support program planning and adaptive management.

Translate complex datasets into clear decision-oriented insights for technical and senior management teams.

 

  1. Data Integration & Visualization

Integrate data from multiple sources including TB case notification apps DHIS2 EHR systems community reporting tools and partner databases.

Develop standardized data models and visualizations aligned with MEL indicators and reporting frameworks.

Ensure dashboards and BI products are user-friendly responsive and aligned with program and donor needs.

Support harmonization of indicators and data structures across TB projects and implementing partners.

 

  1. Support to MEL Systems & Reporting

Work closely with the Senior MEL Officer to ensure BI outputs are based on validated high-quality data. Support routine and ad hoc reporting by providing visual summaries trend analyses and performance snapshots.

Contribute analytical inputs to monthly quarterly and annual reports for SCH leadership donors and NTP.

Support baseline midline endline and evaluation analyses with advanced data visualization and interpretation.

 

  1. Digital Health & Analytics Support

Collaborate with the digital health team on analytics requirements for TB notification apps digital adherence technologies (DAT/vDOT) and referral tracking systems.

Provide input on analytics logic indicators algorithms and dashboard requirements during digital tool development and upgrades.

Support validation rules and automated quality checks from a BI and analytics perspective.

 

  1. Learning & Knowledge Products

Support learning agendas by developing analytical briefs infographics and visual learning products.

Contribute to documentation of best practices innovations and lessons learned using data-driven evidence.

Present analytical findings during learning workshops review meetings and internal reflection sessions.

 

6. Capacity Building & Data Use

Build capacity of MEL staff program teams and selected partners in data interpretation dashboard use

and evidence-based decision-making.

Provide hands-on support to teams on using BI tools for performance tracking and problem-solving.

Mentor non-MEL staff on data visualization standards and analytical thinking.

 

  1. Coordination & Collaboration

Coordinate closely with MEL technical operations finance and supply chain teams to ensure analytics respond to program needs.

Support MEL-related engagements with donors and partners by providing analytical and visualization support.

Perform other BI and analytics tasks assigned by the Senior MEL Manager.


Qualifications :

Key Skills: The key skills required for the position of include:

Strong proficiency in BI and analytics tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau Excel R STATA or similar).

Solid understanding of health program indicators and performance monitoring concepts.

Ability to translate data into clear insights for non-technical audiences.

Strong attention to data accuracy consistency and visualization standards.

Good communication skills in English.

Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.

Highly organized proactive and able to manage multiple analytical requests under tight timelines.

 

Qualifications Education

Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science Statistics Health Informatics Public Health Epidemiology Information Systems or a related field.

Experience

Minimum 35 years of experience in data analytics business intelligence or health information systems.

Experience working with public health or TB program data strongly preferred.

Hands-on experience with dashboards analytics tools and large datasets.

Experience working with DHIS2 digital health platforms or donor-funded programs is an asset.
