The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Officer (MEL) include:
Assist Senior Manager (MEL) in conducting regular analysis of program targets and achievements on a monthly and quarterly basis
Support the development refinement and operationalization of MEL frameworks including formulation tracking validation and interpretation of program indicators
Assist in conducting situation analyses and baseline or periodic assessments for senior team data visualization of the program and from the implementing partner results
Support the orientation rollout and effective use of digital and paper-based reporting tools among internal teams and implementing partners
Coordinate and participate in Routine Data Quality Assurance (RDQA) visits for implementing partners to verify data accuracy consistency and completeness
Support Prime Recipient MEL responsibilities by coordinating RDQA schedules tools documentation and follow-up on corrective action plans
Maintain regular communication with operations team and partners MEL units to clarify reporting requirements timelines and data quality standards
Support the preparation and consolidation of monthly quarterly and annual reports for donors and relevant stakeholders.
Participate in MEL coordination meetings partner forums and technical discussions to stay updated on MEL requirements and best practices
Support documentation of lessons learned case studies and best practices emerging from program implementation
Contribute to development of MEL learning products including dashboards summaries briefs and presentations
Support data compilation and analysis for national-level reporting and internal performance reviews
Perform other MEL-related tasks assigned by the Senior Manager (MEL)
Qualifications :
Must be a university degree holder (preferably M.B. B.S); additional qualification in statistics social sciences are an advantage
Minimum of two years relevant experience in monitoring evaluation data analysis and coordination
Strong numerical skills with a solid understanding of data analysis and basic statistical methods
Fluency in spoken and written English
Skills & Competencies
Moderate to strong understanding of assigned health programs and indicators
Strong proficiency in computer applications particularly Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and data handling tools
Ability to analyze interpret and present quantitative and qualitative data accurately Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills Highly organized systematic and detail-oriented with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
