Position Overview:
Exmoor Country Club is currently seeking its next Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Exmoors CFO directs a 4-person team that manages the Clubs Accounting Finance and HR needs. This is a Senior Leadership position that reports to the GM/COO and advises the Club Treasurer & Finance Committee on long-term goals.

- 5-year strategic plan developed alongside The McMahon group
- Capital Asset Reserve Study by Club Benchmarking
- Golf Course Master Plan developed by Andrew Green
- Campus Block Master Plan developed by Holabird & Root
- Exmoor has a 501(c)(3) Foundation providing scholarships to staff and their family members (56 scholarships awarded in 2025 $250k awarded)
CFO Position Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership & Operations
- Responsible for the fiscal operations of the Club including:
- Financial reporting
- Forecasting
- Audit management and regulatory compliance
- Treasury management & record keeping
- GAAP compliance and adherence to legal requirements
Human Resource Oversight:
- Supervise and lead the Human Resources team
- Payroll processing
- Benefits administration
- Compliance recruiting and on-boarding and employee relations
- Continuously assess and innovate the Employee Experience to maintain Exmoors preferred employer status in the area
- Advocate for protect and support our amazing staff
Strategic Leadership
- Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner for the GM/COO and Board
- Collaborate with and advise the Treasurer and Finance Committee to help achieve long-term goals
- Serve as a change leader along with the other Senior Staff members
QualificationsQualifications & Experience:
This is a high-functioning high-performing position. Qualified candidates should possess:
- Degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- 10 years of success as the leader of finance & accounting and HR teams
- Proven success in developing mentoring and leading staff
- Working knowledge of Information Technology systems
- Private Club experience (not required but preferred)
- Exceptional interpersonal communication and leadership skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $175000 $195000
- Annual Performance Bonus of 15%
