As an Engineering Technician you will support the hotels pre-opening readiness and daily operations by carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance across guest rooms public areas and back-of-house facilities. You will work under the guidance of the Duty Engineer and Assistant Chief Engineer to ensure safe efficient and guest-focused engineering services.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks and corrective work orders; document all activities accurately.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and operational issues; support emergency interventions.
- Carry out first-line inspections and repairs on HVAC electrical plumbing and fire-life-safety systems.
- Assist with commissioning and snag rectification during pre-opening.
- Coordinate access with operating departments to minimize guest impact.
- Maintain tools spare parts and plant room cleanliness.
- Support energy and water efficiency monitoring during shifts.
- Follow safety procedures permits and emergency protocols.
- Technicians may be assigned a primary trade (HVAC / Electrical / Plumbing / Finishing) while remaining multi-skilled to support operations during pre-opening.
Qualifications :
- Technical diploma or certification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum 2 years experience in hotel engineering or facilities maintenance.
- Primary skill in one technical discipline with willingness to cross-train.
- Familiar with preventive maintenance routines and shift work.
- Strong safety awareness and documentation discipline.
- Fluency in Lao required; English is an advantage.
