Job Summary

The Industrial Relations Officer will be responsible for managing employee relations ensuring compliance with labour legislation and fostering a stable and productive workplace environment. This role plays a key part in risk management dispute resolution and supporting management with sound industrial relations strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage disciplinary grievance and dispute resolution processes in line with labour laws and internal policies.
  • Represent the organisation at labour forums hearings and negotiations with employees unions and external stakeholders.
  • Provide advisory support to management on labour legislation employment contracts and HR best practice.
  • Ensure compliance with the Labour Act and relevant statutory requirements.
  • Support collective bargaining processes and maintain constructive union relationships.
  • Prepare and manage documentation for hearings cases and audits.
  • Monitor and mitigate industrial relations risks within the business.
  • Conduct training and awareness sessions on IR policies and procedures.
  • Support HR in policy development and implementation.
Minimum Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Labour Relations Law or a related field.
  • 3 5 years experience in an Industrial Relations or Employee Relations role.
  • Strong working knowledge of Zimbabwean labour legislation.
  • Proven experience handling disciplinary and grievance processes.
  • Excellent negotiation communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • High levels of professionalism confidentiality and integrity.
