DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget of the bank.
- Breakdown the approved budget to zonal/departmental level.
- Conduct actual financial performance evaluation and analyze the budget variance.
- Monitor and report on the actual performance of zonal budget.
- Lead investigations into expenditure head that deviate adversely at the across the zones.
- Supervise budget variance analysis from the zones.
- Prepare weekly budget variance for zones.
- Monitor (CIR) Cost to Income ratio for zones/branches.
- Carry out any other assigned duties from the Budget Manager or the CFO.
- Promote ethical behaviour accountability and continuous improvement.
- Maintain professional competence through ongoing learning and certifications.
- Support the departmental initiatives directed by the Chief Finance Officer.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Education:Bachelors degree/Higher National Diploma in Accounting Finance or a related discipline.
Professional certifications such as CNA ACA or ACCA (preferably)
Experience:Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in Accounts Finance or Treasury with at least 2 years in the financial services or microfinance sector (advantageous).
