Job Summary
Your mission
Reporting & Performance Steering
- Manage and continuously improve our lean effective reporting system (dashboards KPIs and performance tracking).
- Prepare decision-ready analyses and presentations for the CFO advisory board and external partners.
- Operate and evolve our finance and controlling systems and processes.
- Maintain and develop financial models for forecasting and budgeting across projects and ventures.
- Document and control key venture and participation KPIs.
- Manage and control our bookkeeping (debtors creditors expense management assets payroll VAT declarations etc.).
- Coordinate and manage external service providers (accounting payroll tax advisors auditors).
Your profile
What matters most to us
- 2 years of experience in finance financial and/or operational controlling and bookkeeping ideally in a startup or innovation-driven environment.
- Solid knowledge of accounting according to German GAAP (HGB); nonprofit experience is a plus (e.g. DATEV SKR42).
- Confident handling of day-to-day finance operations and external partners (accounting payroll tax audit).
- Youre analytical structured proactive and you enjoy creating clarity in complexity
- Strong Excel skills and a digital-first mindset; you like working with modern reporting tools.
- You take initiative and enjoy working in a purpose-driven entrepreneurial environment with real creative freedom.
- You communicate confidently in German and English.
- Experience with the technical side of controlling and agentic AI (e.g. setting up BI reports automations or API interfaces).
Familiarity with the realities of public vs. private funding and nonprofit regulations.
