DESCRIPTION:
Join our EHS team at Thermo Fisher Scientific and contribute to ensuring workplace safety and environmental compliance. As an EHS Specialist I youll collaborate with leadership to support our Safety-First culture and protect our workforce. Youll conduct hazard assessments implement safety programs and provide expert guidance on environmental health and safety matters. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by creating and maintaining a healthy safe working environment while supporting our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier cleaner and safer.
REQUIREMENTS:
Emergency Services / Administrative knowledge
Strong knowledge of EHS regulations standards and best practices (OSHA GHS NFPA)
Experience conducting workplace safety inspections and hazard assessments
Ability to develop and deliver Emergency Services training programs
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint)
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis
Fluent in English; additional language skills beneficial
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence through collaboration
Demonstrated commitment to safety culture and continuous improvement
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a deadline-oriented environment
Willingness to wear required PPE and work in various environmental conditions
