As a Locum MD in Emergency Medicine you will play a vital role in delivering urgent medical care to patients in critical situations. You will be part of a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient care and supports the delivery of high-quality medical services.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients
- Assess and triage patients based on medical need
- Stabilize patients and perform life-saving procedures when necessary
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other medical professionals
- Document patient care and treatment plans accurately
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Participate in continuing education and training
- Adhere to medical protocols and standards of care
Requirements
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Columbia
- Experience in emergency medicine ideally in a locum or temporary role
- Strong clinical skills and ability to perform under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are preferred
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
No call requirement
Patient Volume: 12 per shift
EMR: CPRS
Any active unrestricted U.S. state license accepted
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
