Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 32 patients per day; 12130 annual volume

Admissions: Approximately 3%

Phone Consults: As clinically appropriate

Case Mix: General emergency medicine cases

Office Equipment Available: Fully equipped emergency department

Specialty Backup Available: OB/GYN Cardiology Surgery Internal Medicine Pediatrics Orthopedics

Support Staff Available: 24-hour MD coverage

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active LA license

Board: BC or BE in Emergency Medicine Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

DEA: Active DEA with LA address

Certifications: ATLS ACLS PALS

Experience: Minimum 2 years of ER experience

Other Qualifications: Willing to work days and nights; minimum 1015 shifts per month

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide emergency department coverage for 12-hour day or night shifts

Evaluate diagnose and treat patients presenting to the ED

Coordinate care with specialty backup services as needed

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the T System EV EMR

Participate in interview process with Medical Director and Hospital Administration
