Description
As a Locum CRNA you will play a crucial role in providing anesthesia care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures. This position requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and comfort of patients.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed
- Collaborate with surgeons and other medical staff to ensure optimal patient care
- Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards in anesthesia practice
- Document patient information and anesthesia administration accurately
- Participate in continuous education and professional development activities
- Assist in the training and supervision of nursing staff as required
Requirements
- Associate degree in nursing with CRNA certification
- Current and valid nursing license
- Previous experience in anesthesia preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with anesthesia equipment and technology
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care
Schedule: 3-4 shifts per week 7a-5:30p
No call requirement
Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
Must be open to rotating between multiple facilities
Procedures: MAC and general anesthesia
Case Types: General orthopedics GYN ENT urology podiatry endo some TEEs and OB
Must be comfortable with a low volume of pediatric ENT cases and OB cases
Support Staff: Anesthesiologist anesthesia techs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
