Description
This contract position requires on-site work and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
In this role you will play a vital part in providing comprehensive care to patients with critical neurological conditions. Your expertise will ensure that patients receive timely and effective treatment while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to enhance clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients in critical care settings
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results
- Administer treatments and medications as prescribed
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Requirements
- Associates degree in Nursing or a related field
- Current NP or PA licensure in the state of practice
- Experience in critical care and neurology settings
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of relevant medical procedures and protocols
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Level I Trauma
Schedule: 3x 13-hour shifts per week
Rotate days nights weekends and holidays
9-bed Neurosciences Critical Care Unit expanding to 12 beds
Duties: Patient history and physical exams developing and executing diagnostic and treatment plans interpreting lab work imaging and physiological data and procedures
Required Procedures: Central and arterial line placements
Team Structure: 5 neurointensivists and 10 APPs
Experience: 1 years in critical care ICU or neurology
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
