Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
TeHerenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Mata ahupae - Project Administrator to join Te Kura Mātai Pūkaha Pūrorohiko - School of Engineering and Computer Science team to work for an externally funded grant Finding understanding and mitigating vulnerabilities in domestic and global software supply chains.
This is a 4-year fixed-term part-time contract until 30 September 2029.
Key responsibilities:
Support multiple workstreams and initiatives ensuring alignment with project goals.
Maintain risk registers IP registers issue logs and other monitoring documents.
Assist with the preparation production collection and updating of project documentation.
Build positive relationships with a wide range of University staff and external stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
Provide high quality business administration and support to team including managing meetings and minutes and maintaining document management processes and systems to ensure the smooth running of projects.
Ō pūmanawa - About you
You will be a motivated client focused individual who can has clear communication skills provide excellent administration support and can manage your own time effectively. You will be a team player and have a willingness to learn systems to help support the project and the project team. You will have a keen eye for organisation and be able to assist the project leads in organising internal and external administration tasks.
Key requirements:
Proven experience in customer service and office administration.
Effective and efficient organisational skills and time management.
Excellent relationship building and networking skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in a range of office and project management applications including the Microsoft Office/365 toolset.
Experience in or willingess to learn new technologies such as GitHub-based project management tools and markdown text editing.
