THE ROLE

Join our team and lead the delivery of a long-term program of work on critical HV transmission projects across the North Island. As an ambitious Project Manager you will be based out of our Taupo or Palmerston North Office where you will use your expertise to help guide dedicated teams in ensuring the safe cost-effective and high-quality construction of HV infrastructure projects that fulfil client requirements meet KPIs and achieve financial targets in line with Downers delivery model framework.

Reporting to the Engineering Services Manager you will spend time in the office and on-site collaborating closely with a team of project engineers crew leaders technical staff and support personnel to efficiently deliver projects.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

Guide and coach others to promote a Zero-Harm culture proactively and visibly.
Manage and control projects by leading the development of project delivery plans.
Provide leadership & direction to achieve project objectives (includes standards and procedures and provide advice regarding technical issues)
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Monitor and report on project expenditure and revenues to proactively control profitable outcomes on all projects.

ABOUT YOU

Youre an experienced project leader with a commitment to technical excellence safety and collaborative success.

A Engineering or Technical qualification and/or a Diploma in Project Management. Additionally you must possess a proven track record of delivering construction-related projects
High proficiency with computers and relevant software.
Superior communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders and up and downstream.
