Associate Charge Nurse Manager- 9B Acute and Intensive care Inpatient Mental Health Unit

Ward 9B is located at Wakari hospital. The team takes pride in the collegiality and ensuring staff well being is a top priority.
The Associate Charge Nurse Manager will predominantly work after hours and weekends to provide leadership to the team. There could be flexibility in these hours and planned cover for weekends potentially every 6-8 weeks in discussion with the senior nursing team currently in 9B. Some hours could overlap with the current Associate Charge Nurse Manager.
The Associate Charge Nurse Manager will assist and work collaboratively with the senior nursing leadership team in overall leadership within 9b and work collaboratively with other services for ensuring best possible care for tangata whaiora. This role provides clinical leadership monitors and mitigates risk actively engages in quality initiatives and manages the day-to-day functioning of the unit. The Associate Charge Nurse manages patient flows in and out of the unit in collaboration with afterhours co-ordinators or CNMs/ACNMs of other areas to ensure delivery of safe patient focused care.
