THE ROLE
Portworx a leader in cloud-native storage and data management for Kubernetes is looking for a deeply technical and strategic Principal Product Manager to drive the next generation of Observability and Manageability capabilities across our Kubernetes platform. This role calls for a hands-on product leader who thrives at the intersection of distributed systems data infrastructure and AI-driven insights.
WHAT YOULL DO
- Define and execute the product strategy for Observability Monitoring and Manageability experiences across Portworx and Kubernetes-based applications.
- Partner closely with engineering design and customer success to deliver seamless management workflows performance dashboards and automated remediation capabilities.
- Lead initiatives to integrate AI Copilot features that enhance operational efficiency and user productivity through intelligent recommendations and generative interactions.
- Own end-to-end product lifecyclefrom roadmap definition to deliverybalancing strategic vision with execution details.
- Engage with enterprise customers and cloud partners to understand pain points prioritize features and ensure scalable observability across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Collaborate with GTM and field teams to translate technical capabilities into business value for customer adoption and success.
- Track the competitive landscape to identify emerging trends in Kubernetes observability monitoring and AIOps ecosystems.
We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore you will be expected to work from the OFFICELOCATION office in compliance with Pures policies unless you are on PTO or work travel or other approved leave.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 10 years of product management experience with at least 5 years in Kubernetes observability platforms or cloud-native infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of Prometheus Grafana OpenTelemetry and modern monitoring/alerting systems.
- Strong grasp of Kubernetes internals including cluster and operator management CRDs and control plane components.
- Proven record of building data and operations visibility solutions that enhance manageability and user experience.
- Experience incorporating AI Copilot or genAI-driven developer productivity tools into enterprise platforms.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment skills with the ability to work across product engineering and executive teams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset customer empathy and a passion for delivering simple solutions to complex problems.
