Job Summary
Our client a leading retail organisation is seeking an experienced IT Manager to provide strategic leadership and hands-on management of the companys information technology operations. The successful incumbent will be responsible for designing and implementing a robust Enterprise Architecture framework that aligns technology initiatives with the companys business objectives supporting efficiency scalability and innovation across all retail operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop implement and maintain the companys IT strategy and Enterprise Architecture in alignment with business goals.
- Oversee all IT operations including infrastructure network systems hardware and software applications across retail branches and head office.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives including point-of-sale (POS) systems ERP integration and omnichannel retail technologies.
- Ensure data security governance and compliance with relevant ICT policies and best practices.
- Manage IT budgets vendor relationships and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Lead system upgrades migrations and implementation projects to improve efficiency and customer experience.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the IT team promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify technology-driven opportunities for operational excellence and business growth.
- Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field (Postgraduate qualification advantageous).
- Minimum 7 years experience in IT management with at least 3 years in the retail industry.
- Proven experience developing and implementing Enterprise Architecture frameworks.
- Strong understanding of retail IT systems including POS ERP inventory management and CRM platforms.
- Solid background in network and systems administration cybersecurity and IT governance.
- Exceptional stakeholder management problem-solving and leadership skills.
