The Workshop Administration Manager is responsible for the effective and efficient management of the workshop administration department and stock-related issues. This includes ensuring uninterrupted operations by maintaining optimal stock levels overseeing procurement and implementing robust control systems. The role also involves supervising the stores team and ensuring compliance with company standards and procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the stores team and oversee daily workshop administration activities.
- Purchase spares protective clothing tyres and other stock items required for operations.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive deals.
- Evaluate supplier performance for value optimization.
- Develop and implement procurement plans systems of control and re-ordering strategies.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure monthly stock takes and reporting.
- Dispose of obsolete stock and implement stores control procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation and timely capture of POs GRVs adjustments and stock returns.
- Monitor fuel storage security and dispensing including calibration of tanks and pumps.
- Maintain asset and tools registers and conduct monthly audits.
- Ensure compliance with Health Safety Environmental & Security policies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of FMS modules for workshop administration.
- Supervise and develop workshop administration staff.
- Perform other tasks as required by the General Manager.
