Permanent

Grade 6 52413 - 64811 Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review

Working 36.5 hours per week.

The role is hybrid however the post holder would be required to work from Birmingham City Council buildings as business needs dictate.

Birminghams Children and Families Directorate are recruiting a series of posts to expand the Strategy Governance and Planning service. About the role

The Birmingham Children and Young Peoples Partnership is a collaboration between Birmingham City Council Birmingham Childrens Trust Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care Board West Midlands Police & Crime Commissioner West Midlands Police the Birmingham Voluntary Services Council and wider services across the role is positioned to coordinate the delivery of the work of the Partnership it is a permanent Birmingham City Council post.

The Partnership works together as one with a set of shared priorities. The Partnership is committed to working with families and communities and improving outcomes for babies children and young people across Birmingham. The work of the Partnership is underpinned by the Change for Children Plan 2023-2028 and associated programmes of work. We are also proud to have joined the UNICEF Child Friendly Cities and Communities programme committing to put the rights of children and young people at the heart of our Partnership planning and service delivery.

About you

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident experienced and dynamic manager/service manager to work across a large diverse city through a challenging yet extremely rewarding time of transformation to play a vital role in delivering our programmes. As the Partnerships and Programmes Manager you will be working with colleagues from across the Partnership and play a key role in the coordination of the work of the Partnership. You will oversee the day-to-day management of planning and delivery building and sustaining collaborative relationships with a wide range of will report directly to the Head of Strategic Governance Planning and Improvement the Partnership Lead.

You will be a skilled project and programme manager and confident negotiator with knowledge and experience of working with multi-agency partnerships within the children young people and/or adult services system. An excellent communicator with proven experience of leading motivating and influencing teams you will enjoy partnerships and be adept at building and sustaining relationships across professional teams. Dynamic and detail-focused you will have great organisation skills and the ability to coordinate across multiple workstreams and activities. Above all you will be committed to children and young peoples rights and life chances and excited by the challenges and opportunities of this exciting role.
