Our clients CICA department is experiencing sustained growth and success creating this exciting opportunity for a dedicated litigation lawyer to join their expanding team. Your Responsibilities
- Caseload Management: Managing your own caseload of CICA claims from initial applications through to appeals and tribunal hearings
- Client Support: Supporting clients through the compensation process with empathy and professionalism
- Complex Cases: Handling complex criminal injury cases including physical assault sexual assault and domestic violence claims
- Legal Documentation: Preparing comprehensive case documentation and legal submissions
- Tribunal Representation: Representing clients at tribunal hearings and appeals
- Vulnerable Client Care: Working with vulnerable clients requiring sensitive and compassionate support
- Department Development: Contributing to the growth and development of the CICA department
- Case Strategy: Developing effective case strategies to maximise compensation outcomes
- Client Communication: Maintaining regular clear communication with clients throughout their cases
- Quality Standards: Ensuring all work meets the firms high standards of client care and legal excellence
Essential Requirements
Experience & Qualifications:
- CICA claims experience or similar litigation work (minimum 1-2 years preferred)
- UK qualified solicitor or legal executive with relevant litigation background
- Caseload management experience with proven ability to handle busy workloads
- Tribunal experience representing clients at hearings (desirable)
Key Skills:
- Attention to detail with ability to prepare comprehensive legal documentation
- Empathy and professionalism when dealing with sensitive and traumatic cases
- Strong communication skills with excellent client care focus
- Resilience and sensitivity working with vulnerable clients through difficult times
- Organisational abilities to manage multiple complex cases effectively
- Commitment to justice and helping clients achieve fair compensation
