Cluster / Department :Hong Kong East Cluster / Facilities Management Department
Pay : HK$34070 - HK$39485 (HGPS point 13 to 16) per month including Monthly Allowance
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Cluster Manager (Facilities Management) or his/her delegates in the management of buildings and facilities and in the project management services at hospitals and institutions of Hong Kong East Cluster. Major duties include:
1. To assist in project management for the capital projects and maintenance works including project administration progress supervision monitoring of workmanship and quality of building materials coordination and defect inspection etc.
2. To lead and supervise artisans / operation assistants of hospital in-house maintenance team to perform planned and corrective maintenance works.
3. To co-ordinate with end-users works agents and government agents for the delivery of projects and maintenance works.
4. To assist in the procurement of spare parts and maintenance of the related stores.
5. To supervise and report the performance of works agents and contractors.
6. To conduct safety inspections to hospital premises and facilities.
7. To assist in management of a database system of the buildings and facilities including various building records and engineering system data building drawings operation and maintenance manuals etc.
8. To conduct site inspections on contractors site works.
9. To attend emergency calls after office hours as requested and during inclement weather according to a roster.
10. Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisors and Cluster Management.
Entry Requirements
1. a) A Certificate in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from Hong Kong Polytechnic / Hong Kong Polytechnic University / Hong Kong Technical College / Hong Kong Technical Institute / Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education or equivalent;
OR
b) 5 years of relevant working experience as skilled worker in the field of Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering;
OR
c) Completed a recognized Technician Apprenticeship in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
2. At least 3 years site supervisory experience subsequent to fulfilling (1) above.
3. A knowledge of English and Chinese equivalent to Form 3 (before 2012) / Secondary 3 standard.
4. Obtained valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card).
Preferred Attributes / Exposure
1. Possession of Diploma in Building Studies / Building Services Engineering / Civil or Structural Engineering / Facilities Management; or other equivalent construction related qualification.
2. Fluency in Mandarin is an advantage.
3. Hard working enthusiastic with sense of responsibility.
