Part-time Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I in the Faculty of Education (ref: 533710) (to commence from January 5 2026 or as soon as possible for two years with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
We are seeking a Research Assistant to support a mixed-methods research project on inclusive citizenship and education in Hong Kong schools. Applicants should possess a Bachelors degree or abovepreferably in Education Psychology Social Sciences or a related field. An excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese is essential (proficiency in spoken Cantonese would be an advantage).Applicants holding a Masters degree (or higher) or a degree with a specialization in quantitative research methods or citizenship/values/moral education with work experience may be considered asSenior Research Assistant.
Previous experience in conducting either qualitative research (e.g. semi-structured interviews document analysis thematic analysis) or quantitative research (e.g. questionnaire development inferential statistics) is expected; experience with both is an advantage. Familiarity with mixed-methods research or large-scale datasets (e.g. ICCS) research experience in school settings and/or experience in working with ethnic minorities would be added strengths.
Applicants should have strong organizational and problem-solving skills a high sense of responsibility good interpersonal and communication skills and be self-motivated. Familiarity with the literature on citizenship and/or diversity in Hong Kong schools would be an advantage.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Flexible work arrangements are possible but presence in Hong Kong is essential to fulfill the duties. The opportunity to co-author research publications as well as research mentoring will be provided.
