You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailApplications are invited for appointment asNon-Tenure TrackClinical Assistant Professor in Rheumatology in the Department of Medicine School of Clinical Medicine(Ref.: 532956) to commence as soon as possible on a three-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Applicants should possess a medical qualification registrable with the Medical Council of Hong Kong and a higher professional qualification of Specialty Fellowship of the relevant Hong Kong College under the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine or equivalent. They should have a solid track record of clinical services in Rheumatology and demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and be able to contribute to the enhancement and development of courses for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. They should also have extensive experience in managing patients with acute and chronic medical problems; demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in clinical services and training; and proven capacity and potential in performing research in their respective field. Although teaching research and professional activities are conducted in English direct communication with patients is required and the languages employed are English Cantonese and Putonghua.
The appointee is expected to supervise junior doctors; deliver clinical service and patient care at the Universitys teaching hospitals; participate in the planning and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes conduct research in Rheumatology and contribute to administrative duties in the Department Hospitals and Faculty. Information about the Department can be obtained athttps:// highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 15% of basic salary. A monthly cash allowance will be offered to the successful candidate. Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
