Description

Clean Harborsis seeking aRemediation Supervisor. TheRemediation Supervisoris primarily responsible for leading and supervising crews in the field on projects. This position is responsible for activities at customer sites and helping with onsite projects. 95-100% travel will be required to project sites.

******This position requires experience with civil or remediation experience with soil/dirt projects.

Locations:Salt Lake City UT preferred; other locations considered on a case-by-case basis

Pay:$28-36 per/HR DOE; OT consistent while out on rotations

Per Diem available daily hourly competitive pay rates travel costs covered by the company. The typical work schedule is 6 weeks on the road and then 1-week home.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices policies and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Meet with customers as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and to resolve any pending complaints or issues;
  • Participate in joint calls with specialists as needed and maintain a professional image when dealing with customers;
  • Maintain up to date confined space supervisor and emergency response supervisor certifications;
  • Manage large scale field service and emergency response projects when directed;
  • Understand and work with the Coordinator in the communication of manpower equipment and resources required to complete field service and emergency response projects;
  • Act as the on-call coordinator on an as needed basis;
  • Oversee projects for Health and Safety profitability completeness and professionalism;
  • Responsible for H&S issues surrounding projects assigned including reviewing operational procedures to assure correct H&S action plans and communicate effectively with the H&S organization regarding onsite specific action;
  • Respond immediately when on-call or secure proper coverage and communicate replacement name to supervisor/manager;
  • Enforce and ensure OSHA EPA and H&S standards or regulations are complaint;
  • Responsible for the timely reporting of work-related accidents or incidents to immediate supervisor;
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.


Qualifications
  • Minimum High School education required;
  • Experience in Civil or Remediation dirt/soil projects required;
  • BS/BA in ASC or BS/BA Preferred;
  • Emergency response supervisor training and Marine Spill Responsetraining preferred;
  • Knowledge of scoping and pricing Field Service work;
  • Knowledge of Federal state and local environmental regulations;
  • Knowledge of various types of equipment;
  • Proficiency in Windows based applications.
  • 3-5 years of experience in remediation or similar preferred;
  • 3-5 years of experience in environmental field service operations preferred;
  • 2-4 years supervisory experience preferred;
  • Valid DL and acceptable MVR required;
  • Ability to travel.

Physical Requirements

  • This position is physically demanding and candidates must be able to navigate varying site conditions where steep slopes and rugged terrain may be present and walk several miles per day. Candidates must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted and wear personal protective equipment that may restrict movement when required.
  • Requires walking and standing for extended periods of time sitting in equipment that may vibrate or jostle climbing and working at heights pulling/pushing carrying grasping reaching crawling stooping crouching and balance. Requires speaking listening understanding and writing English; color determination depth perception clarity of vision and 20/20 eyesight (corrected or uncorrected).
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment and a clean personal appearance. Facial hair must always comply with the companys respiratory protection facial hair policy.
