Job Description
- Manage daily performance of QC staff
- Lead motivate and train QC personnel to achieve department and company objectives
- Lead or support Quality department projects as assigned and assist Engineering and Manufacturing as needed
- Investigate root causes of customer complaints and implement corrective actions when required
- Propose promote and champion initiatives to improve quality processes and products
- Eliminate process variation and product defects through innovative solutions
- Maintain ISO-based quality systems
- Implement and manage systems for statistical analysis and control of all products including raw materials WIP non-conforming materials and finished goods
- Ensure customer requirements are consistently met
- Develop methods to reduce waste and improve efficiency
- Actively support Lean Manufacturing initiatives using available tools and technologies
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops publications networking and professional societies
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Develop and present KPI reports
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to work cross-functionally
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent time-management abilities
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Solid project management skills
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing/JIT Six Sigma and Total Quality fundamentals
- Proficiency in Excel
- Detail oriented
- Strong troubleshooting problem-solving and mistake-proofing skills
- Bachelors degree in STEM related field or equivalent work experience required
- 3 years in Quality Assurance required
- 5 years in PV manufacturing or a PV-related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years in supervision/management required
- Salary: $78000 $85000 annually
