General Description
This position includes responsibility for site/operations/staff development supervision and implementation of treatment plans.
Essential Job Functions
A. Management Functions
- Responsible for overseeing Options For Youth FST Programs and its operations delegating duties among staff and monitoring compliance.
- Monitor compliance with agency policies and procedures and licensing regulations.
- Organizing and preparing staff coverage for After-School program.
- Responsible for obtaining supplies for Options For Youth programs within budgetary guidelines.
- Assist Program Supervisor with orientation of new staff.
- Provide leadership and role model to staff to ensure that program offers a safe calm consistent environment conductive to emotional and behavioral stabilization.
- Enforce protocols for communication with clinical staff and other providers.
- Coordinate case assignment/authorizations for Family Stabilization Program in collaboration with Options For Youth Assistant Program Supervisor in order to support integrated plans within a continuum of care.
- Participate in creative program development under supervision of Program Supervisor and Assistant Program Supervisor.
- Organizing FST teams and assigning FST cases to the teams.
- Beeper response within the hour for all FST referrals.
B. Direct Care
- Provide safe intensely supervised supportive therapeutic environment for children/adolescents in Options For Youth Day Treatment.
- Implement individualized treatment plans for each consumer.
- Coordinate/collaborate with network of providers identified for each consumer as directed by clinician.
- Interact with family members in an empathic respectful manner which supports their relationship and role with their child.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Actively engage with and encourage participation of consumers in esteem building recreational and therapeutic activities throughout their admission which are appropriate to individual clients unique stabilization needs.
- Make careful observations regarding consumers behavior and emotional status and communicate this clearly and completely to the appropriate staff and in written materials.
- Supervise consumer in other Options For Youth program or in another community site when directed by clinical staff. Provide transportation when necessary to facilitate treatment plan.
- Become directly involved in program management needs. Supervise client participation in such activities when appropriate for age and level of stabilization needs.
- Provide services/staff coverage to other Options For Youth programs i.e. day treatment and tracking services.
C. Administrative Duties Related to Direct Care Role
- Complete all paperwork in a timely and professional manner.
- Participate in all relevant staff meetings supervision and required trainings i.e. OSHA CPR First Aid Passive Restraint etc.
- Keep supervisor (s) well-informed and update all treatment team members on a regular basis.

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a human services field as stipulated in the CBHI-approved listing of human service degrees that meet MassHealth MCE credentialing criteria AND at least one year of experience in working with children/adolescents
OR
An Associates degree in a human services field as stipulated in the CBHI-approved listing of human service degrees that meet MassHealth MCE credentialing criteria AND at least two years of relevant experience in working with children/adolescents.
- Crisis/other experience with children/adolescents.
- Effective organizational and leadership skills required
