Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform basic administrative duties including issuing work orders updating preventive maintenance schedules record keeping.
- Liaise between Third Parties and Field Operations for planning of equipment transport acquisitions and disposals
- Forward planning to ensure the timely and most economical deployment of equipment as well as monitor utilizationand manage deployment including suspension and timely disposition of under-utilizeditems
- Update and maintain a variety of reports and tracking spreadsheets including updating certifications and compliance and maintaining equipment files
- Coordinates the completion of preventative maintenance repairs and inspections required to maintain compliance with company policy and state/federal regulations.
- Liaise with Operations team mechanics and third-party vendors to schedule maintenance track breakdowns and record repairs
- Monitor and report damage and abuse of owned/rental which also involves tracking for corrective actions
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role preferably in the construction industry
- Knowledge of (CAN) transport regulations and maintenance processes and procedures as well as working knowledge / experience with heavy equipment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Demonstrates ability to learn and understand software programs and new systems
- Demonstrated ability to engage interact all levels of management from mid-level managers to senior executives
- Preference will be provided for candidates with previous experience managing heavy & light duty mechanics
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint); familiarity with J.D. Edwards would be an asset
- Must have a valid provincial drivers license and clean drivers abstract
- Previous experience in equipment inventory would be an asset
Work Conditions:
- Office based position
- May be required to operate a vehicle for business purposes.
- Travel to various business sites will be required.
Compensation
$50400 - $69300 Annually
This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience knowledge skills education and location.
