The Project

The Waikeria Prison Development Expansion PPP project is multi million dollar construction project based in the heart of the Waikato. This project will add additional leading edge facilities to complement the existing Prison that CPD delivered early this year to the Department of Corrections. With early works already underway the opportunity to join this project is available now with overall completion and facility opening due in 2029.

Your Opportunity

  • Manage project cost control revenue management forecasting and general project financial administration requirements.
  • Develop and maintain an awareness of SHE hazards and associated risks and demonstrate a commitment to eliminate or minimise those risks;
  • Assist in cost forecasting for allocation subcontracts and cost codes are accurately maintained and keep project management teams abreast of any cost issues immediately upon identification.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant Company and Group policies and processes.
  • Assist and participate in identification and quantification of Head Contract variations.

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Experience within the rail transport construction mining & resources or engineering industries (project experience) is preferable.
  • Strong communication and people management skills
  • Excellent organization skills to deal with conflicting demands
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of commercial compliance and reporting procedures and processes including Project Cost Reporting (PCR) and Asset Register
  • Knowledge of records management procedures and record register and version control
  • Experience in reporting on contract and commercial performance and compliance.
  • CA or Masters of Tax
  • Accounting / Finance degree
