Job Summary

ASSET ACCOUNTANT (Permanent)
Our client an established and well-known service organization in WNY is looking to hire an Asset Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical individual who thrives in collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

Perform tracking and analysis of project spending supporting engineering team functions
Oversee capital project expenditures to identify areas for improvement
Reconcile and report on P&L activity balance sheets and fixed assets
Regularly reconcile accounts to resolve any discrepancies and ensure accuracy in reports
Participate in month end close processes alongside other accounting/finance team members
Analyze financial data and report key information to upper management to aid in departmental decision making
Take a proactive approach to completing special projects in a timely manner and ahead of deadlines
Remain up to date on industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance is maintained at all times
Work well in a team environment as well as independently
Other duties as assigned/as necessary

Details:

Position is full-time direct hire
100% on-site with the possibility of hybrid in the future
$60000 - $77000 annually depending on experience

Bachelors degree in Accounting or related required; 3.0 GPA minimum (company will ask for transcripts)
2-3 years experience in Accounting or Audit with experience supporting an Engineering Department or group / organization
Knowledge of fixed assets balance sheets and P&L reporting
Proficient computer skills specifically Excel & various financial software
Heavy analysis skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
Strong attention to detail
Self-motivated and able to work well independently while contributing collaboratively within a team environment
Relocation not available
