Job Description
Job Opportunity: NP/PA - Neonatology
Join an expanding team in a wonderful opportunity as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or experienced NICU-trained Physician Assistant at a progressive hospital in Brooksville Florida. This facility features a 20-bed Level-III NICU with an average daily census of 12-20 and approximately 1600 annual deliveries. With on-site Neonatologists and Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists this role provides support and collaboration in a thriving community located along Floridas picturesque Nature Coast.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized care in a 20-bed Level-III NICU.
- Work 16-hour shifts with the possibility of 24-hour shifts as the unit expands.
- Collaborate with fellow medical professionals including Neonatologists and sub-specialists.
- Maintain a calm and efficient environment during high-stress situations.
- Ensure excellent communication with families regarding medical care.
Qualifications:
- For NNP Candidates:
- Masters Degree in Nursing.
- Board Certified in NNP (no other NP certifications accepted).
- A minimum of 2 years of current NNP experience (not including RN or training).
- For PA Candidates:
- Masters Degree in Physician Assistant studies.
- Board Certified through NCCPA.
- Completion of a Neonatal PA training program is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of current PA experience in NICU (not including training).
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current Florida License (or willing to obtain).
- DEA certification to be obtained prior to start.
- Clean malpractice and licensing history is highly preferred.
