Job Description
Job Title: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
Join an esteemed group of healthcare professionals in a vibrant and supportive community! A full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner position is available in Kansas City Missouri. This opportunity offers the chance to work within a renowned health system that includes multiple locations featuring a Level-IIIB NICU with 49 beds as well as a 15-bed Level-IIIA NICU. The facility is committed to providing advanced neonatal care in a collaborative working environment and has established partnerships to support NICU families.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to neonates in a busy NICU setting.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and educational programs.
- Engage actively in family-centered care training and support programs.
- Administer advanced ventilator support as needed.
- Utilize resources to enhance the patient and family experience.
- Contribute to a mentorship program for new graduates and novice practitioners.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Current APRN national specialty certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
- Minimum of a Masters Degree in Nursing.
- Clinical experience in neonatal care preferred.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills.
- Ability to engage and educate families effectively.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active MO License (or willing to obtain).
- Board Certified in Neonatology (other NP certifications will not be accepted).
- DEA and CSR/CDS must be obtained prior to start.
- Visa support may be required for international candidates.
