Job Description
Job Opportunity: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
Join a prestigious Level-III NICU practice located in Gastonia North Carolina! This full-time position offers an exceptional work environment at an award-winning facility with a well-established 16-bed NICU. Our healthcare team provides quality care to the community while enjoying a supportive atmosphere close to the vibrant city of Charlotte.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide care in a 16-suite Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
- Contribute to the coverage of the newborn nursery.
- Deliver 20 hours per day of shift coverage in collaboration with Neonatologists.
- Engage in a supportive team environment consisting of 2 neonatologists and 5-6 NNPs.
- Participate in handling approximately 320 admissions and 1900 births annually.
- Work in an innovative NICU recognized for its design and mother-baby care.
- Be involved at a facility that is recognized by Thomson Reuters as one of the Top 100 Hospitals.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing.
- Current APRN National Specialty Certification - Board Certified NNP (FNP PNP or other NP certifications are not accepted).
- Minimum of 2 years of employment experience as an NNP (excluding RN experience).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Strong commitment to providing exceptional neonatal care.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current North Carolina License (or willing to obtain).
- DEA certification must be obtained prior to start.
