Job Description
Job Opportunity: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in Tallahassee FL
Join a renowned practice dedicated to providing exceptional care in neonatology. We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to be a part of our well-established team at a Level-III NICU located within Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare Florida. This facility the only area designated as a Level-III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is equipped to manage high-risk mothers and critically ill infants. With a friendly professional atmosphere supported by a collaborative team you will play a crucial role in providing family-centered healthcare.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide care within a Level-III NICU with a 34-bed capacity and an average daily census of 25.
- Collaborate with a multi-specialty team of neonatologists pediatric intensivists and hospitalists.
- Support and interact with various specialists including pediatric cardiology endocrinology radiology neurology and orthopedics.
- Oversee transports from regional hospitals alongside neonatal nurses and respiratory therapists.
- Work regular 8-hour and 24-hour shifts.
- Ensure high-quality care is delivered consistently in a dynamic clinical environment.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree (minimum) or Doctorate in Nursing.
- Current NNP Board Certification (FNP PNP or other NP certifications will not be accepted).
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (not including RN experience).
- Clean malpractice history preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Licensure & Certification Requirements:
- Active Florida Nursing License (or willingness to obtain).
- DEA registration must be obtained prior to start date.
