Job Description
Job Opportunity: Neonatologist in Charleston WV
We have an exciting opportunity for a Neonatologist to join our NICU team of 4 Neonatologists and 3 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners at a renowned facility in beautiful Charleston WV. The facility features a Level-IV 30-bed NICU and caters to approximately 3000 annual births providing an enriching environment for both professional growth and patient care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide 24/7 in-house coverage in the NICU supported by neonatal nurse practitioners.
- Attend deliveries as required.
- Engage in teaching opportunities with medical students and residents from local medical schools.
- Collaborate with pediatric sub-specialists across more than 30 specialties.
- Optional coverage at a nearby Level-II NICU.
- Participate in clinical education as a Clinical Associate Professor with WVU School of Medicines Charleston Division.
- Welcome commuters and new graduates to apply.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
- West Virginia license (or willingness to obtain).
- Preferred 3 years of experience in a busy Level-III/IV NICU.
- DEA must be obtained prior to start.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (REQUIRED).
- West Virginia medical license (or willing to obtain - REQUIRED).
- DEA license must be secured prior to start (REQUIRED).
