Job Description
Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care in Roanoke VA
Join a dynamic healthcare team in Roanoke Virginia where patient care meets dedicated service. The facility is an Urgent Care clinic that also provides Occupational Health services offering a supportive environment for Nurse Practitioners. You will have the autonomy to manage your patients while having a supervising physician available by phone for guidance. The practice utilizes the Anthem EMR system ensuring streamlined documentation and patient management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide episodic care and treatment for injuries.
- Serve a diverse patient demographic including adolescents children adults and geriatrics.
- Work autonomously with availability of a supervising physician via phone consultation.
- Document patient interactions efficiently using the Anthem EMR.
- Manage a minimum of 36 hours (3x12s) per week including rotating weekends.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified (ANCC or AANP).
- Active Virginia Nurse Practitioner license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Must be a local provider.
- Experience in Urgent Care and Occupational Health is a plus.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Virginia state license - Required.
- BLS certification - Required.
- Board Certification - Required.
- DEA certification preferred.
