Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Internal Medicine in Franklin VA
Join a dedicated team providing exceptional outpatient healthcare services in beautiful Franklin Virginia! This opportunity offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment focused on internal medicine with a significant emphasis on geriatrics. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM providing a great work-life balance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive outpatient care focused on adult and geriatric patients.
- Manage a caseload consisting of approximately 30% adults and 70% geriatrics.
- Handle an average of 20 hospital patients per physician per day.
- Collaborate with specialty backup in Orthopedics Gastroenterology Nephrology and Cardiology as needed.
- Perform required procedures including EKG interpretation echocardiograms and more.
- Utilize office ancillary staff to enhance patient care efficiency with a 1:1 CMA or LPN ratio.
Qualifications:
- Current ABFM Board Certification - REQUIRED; no exceptions
- BLS and ACLS certifications - REQUIRED
- Active Virginia state medical license - REQUIRED
- Clean record; minor payouts may be considered.
- Current DEA registration - REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
