Job Description
Job Title: Locum - Physician - Family Medicine
Join our team in Franklin Virginia! We are seeking a dedicated locum Family Medicine Physician to provide crucial coverage from July 2025 through January 2026. This opportunity is set in a welcoming clinic environment within the Bon Secours Hampton Roads Medical Group. You will be making a difference in a vibrant community taking care of adult and geriatric patients as well as teenagers in a supportive atmosphere.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient evaluations and provide appropriate treatment plans.
- Manage a daily patient load averaging 20-25.
- Provide general family practice services including adult outpatient care.
- Switch coverage between two locations based on patient needs.
- Utilize EPIC for documentation and patient management.
- Collaborate with on-site mid-level staff to deliver high-quality care.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Family Medicine - REQUIRED
- Active Virginia medical license - REQUIRED
- Current BLS certification - REQUIRED
- Must have local residency; only mileage is reimbursed - REQUIRED
- Availability for a minimum of 2 weeks per month - REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
- Virginia medical license
- Board Certification in Family Medicine
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
