Job Description
Locum Physician - Infectious Disease
Facility and Practice Overview
We are seeking a Board Certified Infectious Disease physician for a locum position in Prescott Arizona. This opportunity involves work in an inpatient setting specifically including an Infusion Center and Wound Clinic. The practice is currently experiencing a providers absence due to vacation creating a need for a qualified individual to step in from July 29 to August 25. Candidates should be prepared for a full-time schedule of Monday to Friday and be able to commit to at least two weeks per month.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct inpatient consultations and provide IVIg orders for the Infusion Center.
- Perform necessary in-office dressing changes and wound care.
- Review all incoming referrals and approve patient treatments.
- Collaborate with support staff including one Medical Assistant and one front office staff.
- Utilize Cerner EMR for patient documentation and management.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Infectious Disease (Board Eligible candidates may also be considered).
- Active Arizona Medical License or IMLC with Letter of Qualification.
- Completion of residency and fellowship in relevant field.
- Valid DEA registration.
- Must have a clean malpractice history for expedited credentialing.
- Availability at time of credentialing is essential.
License and Certification Requirements
- Board Certification - REQUIRED (Board Eligible candidates accepted).
- Active Arizona License or IMLC - REQUIRED.
- Residency and Fellowship completion - REQUIRED.
- Current DEA - REQUIRED.
- Clean malpractice record - REQUIRED for expedited credentialing.
