Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - General Medicine in Houston OR

Join a dedicated team committed to serving our nations Veterans! We are seeking General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Enjoy the flexibility of working in your own office as we expand our reach across Houston and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and separation health assessments.
Perform primarily interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations (e.g. range of motion muscle strength).
Complete and submit detailed examination reports including addendums as necessary.
Engage in ongoing administration tasks including follow-up work related to medical opinions and diagnostics.
Work PRN on a flexible schedule with options for half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts.

Qualifications:

Proficient in METs testing evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
Own a non-Mac laptop for documentation and report submission.
AANP certification is required.
Active and unrestricted medical license.
Willingness to complete DMA training to achieve DMA certification.
Experience in family medicine internal medicine or orthopedic surgery is a plus.

License and Certification Requirements:

State medical license must be active and unrestricted.
AANP certification is mandatory.
DMA certification required after training.
