Job Description
Job Title: Locum Physician - General Medicine
Join a dedicated team providing vital services to our nations Veterans! We are currently seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in the state of Washington. This position allows for flexibility as you operate from your own office with current openings in Aberdeen Longview and Grand Coulee.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments
- Perform primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing
- Complete required documentation and reports after exams
- Participate in occasional follow-up administrative work such as addendums and medical opinions
- Work on a PRN basis with the option for half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts
- Engage with Veterans in a supportive environment
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular health
- Experience in family medicine internal medicine orthopedic surgery or general medicine
- Strong communication skills
- Must own a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products) for documentation purposes
- Must hold an active unrestricted medical license
- Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current and unrestricted medical license in Washington state
- AANP certification preferred
