Job Description
Job Opportunity: Locum Primary Care Physician in Emporia VA
Join a dedicated healthcare team in a vibrant primary care practice located in Emporia Virginia. This position allows for flexibility with a schedule of three eight-hour shifts weekly providing care to a diverse population that includes adults pediatrics and geriatrics. Youll be part of a well-equipped facility that includes laboratory services and modern documentation systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients
- Perform necessary outpatient procedures including minor laceration suturing and newborn care
- Manage patient documentation using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with potential virtual coverage from internal medicine physicians
- Respond to inquiries regarding care and treatment options
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Primary Care
- Experience in adult outpatient services pediatric care and minor surgical/psychiatric procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a rural healthcare setting
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Virginia medical license (required)
- BLS certification (required)
