Job Description
Job Title: Locum Hospitalist Physician
Join our dedicated healthcare team in the scenic town of Grundy Virginia! Our facility known for its exceptional patient care is seeking a skilled Hospitalist to provide coverage on a 7 on/7 off schedule starting November 2025. Enjoy working in a supportive environment with an engaging team at a hospital that prioritizes patient outcomes and professional growth.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide hospitalist coverage from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with night call from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Manage daily patient census of 9-10 with an average of 1 nightly admission.
- Utilize EMR-CPSI for patient documentation and management.
- Respond to night admissions as necessary while not required to return on-site.
- Collaborate with specialty coverages including General Surgery Cardiology Urology and Pulmonology.
- Participate in procedures as preferred such as intubations and central line placements (no mandatory procedures required).
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Virginia medical license is required; IMLC accepted.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications at the time of application.
- Clean background with no history of malpractice.
- Availability for 7 on/7 off shifts is mandatory.
- Proof of COVID vaccination status is required.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification in relevant specialty.
- Valid Virginia Medical License.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Proof of COVID vaccination is required.
