Job Title: Physician - Hospitalist - OB

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide 24-hour in-house coverage and total management for obstetric patients.
- Attend to labor and delivery obstetric emergencies and postpartum care.
- Triage maternal patients and manage unassigned OB patients.
- Cover emergency GYN cases.
- Collaborate closely with obstetricians experienced L&D nurses NICU APPs and social workers.
- Work in a hospital with on-site access to a Level II NICU.
- Teach and supervise OB/GYN residents fellows and medical students.
- Maintain responsibility for rounding entering orders and attending deliveries.
- Work approximately 67 shifts per month (7:00 AM 7:00 AM).
- Cover a minimum of 2 weekend days per month.
- Participate in a rotating holiday schedule.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in OB/GYN (must become board certified within 2 years).
- Experience required must be comfortable with all aspects of OB and GYN surgery.
- Valid Michigan medical license at time of employment.
- DEA license.
- BLS Certification and maintain recertification.
- Clean malpractice and license history highly preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certified in OB/GYN or truly Board Eligible (must become certified within 2 years).
- Valid Michigan medical license.
- DEA license.
- BLS Certification.
