Job Position: Platinum Metal Consultant (automotive)

Ref: 5024

Location: PE/Gqeberha

Salary: R35 000 to R50 000 per month commensurate with qualification and experience benefits and relocation cover

Qualifications / Requirements:

Degree/National Diploma in the following disciplines Purchasing Logistics Commerce Finance or Business Management.

Minimum 3 years of direct purchasing experience in the automotive or related industry

Knowledge of purchasing policies procedures and legal requirements in respect of the Platinum Metal Consultant in the South African context

Advanced strategic and critical thinking skills

Advanced analytical and problemsolving skills

Excellent planning and prioritization capability

Excellent organizational skills and advanced negotiating competence

Advanced negotiating competence

Factbased decisionmaking skills

Advanced commercial technical and legal knowledge and understanding

Good communication skills written and verbal

Excellent presentation skills

Excellent computer literacy MS Office package (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook SAP)

Excellent financial analysis and costing ability skills

Excellent supplier interface skills

Ability to interpret technical data

Key Performance Areas:

Identify and ensure correction variances in PGM pool inventory volumes by doing monthly variance reports from SAP to ensure the correct price level

Conduct audit physical inventory at the end of the year to ensure correct stock levels

Analyze inventory requirements by verifying the quantities with the suppliers to sustain the PGM supply chain

Prepare and present for approval the financial liquidity report to ensure within budget

Prepare and issue PGM purchase order authorisations to PGM Traders via SAP to ensure timeous availability of PGMs

Analyze and approve PGM purchase invoices received from the suppliers to ensure alignment to preapproved pricing parameters for PGM purchases

Issue PGM sales invoices generated from SAP to PGM exporters to ensure timeous financial recovery within the stipulated cost model time frame

Prepare the Bill of Materials for each component in SAP by creating and maintaining the correct specification level to prevent over and under recovery

Prepare and submit the Annual PGM Inventory forecast for strategic finance Planning Team to ensure optimal inventory levels

Prepare and submit the Beneficiation License Register (Diamond Report) to the South African Diamond and Precious Metals Regulator in order to comply with legislation

Manage supplier capacity requirements by visiting and liaising with locals to support ongoing production for the company nominated parts

Prevent potential line stoppages by providing the necessary support with immediate and remedial actions to secure production

Troubleshooting and problem solving as and when required by involving all the relevant stakeholders to mitigate potential risks

Develop and maintain WorkInstructions pertaining to all PGMrelated tasks and reports

Develop and maintain a risk assessment by involving the relevant departments for all PGM related tasks to prevent risks
