Job Description
Permanent RN Thoracic Surgery & Pulmonary Transplant
Location: Dallas TX 75246
Shift: 12 HR Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
- Provide direct nursing care to thoracic and pulmonary transplant patients in accordance with physician orders.
- Monitor patient status vital signs and laboratory results to detect changes and respond appropriately.
- Administer medications including immunosuppressants and manage postoperative pain and complications.
- Educate patients and families on surgical procedures transplant recovery discharge planning and long-term care.
- Collaborate with transplant coordinators surgeons respiratory therapists and other specialists.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing assessments interventions and outcomes.
- Adhere to infection control safety standards and quality assurance policies.
- Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
- Active RN License (Texas State)
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience
- BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)-Required within 30 days of hire
