Job Description

Permanent RN Medical Surgical

Location: Marble Falls TX 78654
Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Compensation: Based on experience

Job Description & Responsibilities:

As a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse you will:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments of patients and identify health concerns.
  • Develop implement and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient needs.
  • Monitor and assess patient responses to interventions and adjust care plans accordingly.
  • Coordinate patient travel and ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide patient education and support to promote optimal health outcomes.
  • Prevent complications by ensuring safe effective and efficient care.
  • Follow the Texas Nursing Practice Act safely delegate tasks based on patient condition and team competencies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients families and healthcare team members.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve desired patient outcomes.
  • Maintain professional and therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
  • Document care and education provided assessing learning needs regularly.
  • Advocate for patient safety privacy and ethical care practices.
Key Success Factors:
  • Strong knowledge of nursing standards procedures and local/state regulations.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology disease management prevention and pharmacology.
  • Ethical and professional conduct with respect for patient confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and critical thinking abilities.
  • Basic computer literacy including use of EMRs (Electronic Medical Records) Microsoft Office and scheduling/payroll systems.
  • Commitment to continuous learning teamwork and quality improvement.
  • Willingness to mentor peers and participate in community health initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of Texas.
  • BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)-must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not current.
