Permanent Nurse Practitioner-Surgery Location: Dallas TX 75246
Shift: Full-Time Days 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Functions of the Role: - Conduct comprehensive or problem-focused physical exams and obtain medical histories.
- Order interpret and evaluate lab and diagnostic tests to assess patient health needs.
- Prescribe and manage medications and therapies perform procedures within scope and policy.
- Develop and implement outcome-based treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Monitor treatment effectiveness and modify care plans as needed.
- Provide patient and family education on medical conditions treatments medications nutrition and health promotion.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Refer patients when care needs exceed scope of practice.
- Provide specialized consultation services related to surgery and patient management.
- Manage patient care in inpatient and emergency settings when needed.
- Perform surgical-related procedures as per scope and delegation.
- Conduct pre-operative and post-operative follow-ups; may perform hospital rounds and ED evaluations.
- Flexibility to work beyond regular hours based on departmental needs.

Required Qualifications: - Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
- Experience: Less than 1 year of relevant experience accepted.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) License-Texas State License required.
- Registered Nurse (RN) License-Texas State License required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)-Required within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification for the surgical patient population.
