Job Description
Job Title: Facility and Yard Lead Department: Shop
Reports to: Fleet Manager Effective Date: 07/03/2025
Job Summary:
The Facility and Yard Lead is responsible for the safe and efficient management of the Cobalt Civil facilities and yard.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading equipment and materials
- Ensuring the basic facilities are well maintained
- Ex. Water heat softener salt indoor and outdoor lighting etc.
- Building and grounds maintenance
- Gravel drives and parking graded and maintained as needed
- Mowing weed control snow removal/ice melt at all Cobalt locations
- Sorting mats
- Managing trash and recycling roll off dumpsters
- Organizing materials and equipment
- Ex. Signs maps keeping/putting like things together
- A place for everything and everything in its place
- Assist with keeping shop inventory put away properly
- Work with the P.M. group to keep Bays clean and organized at school
- Maintain the dump
- Make sure supplies are available to employees in the vending area
- Bring ideas forward to improve the safety efficiency and cleanliness of Cobalt Civil properties
- Other duties as required that are not listed above
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-disciplined and self-driven
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize tasks
Education and Experience:
Valid Drivers License
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
