Job Description

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Process Quality Lead / FuSa Lead / Project Manager to oversee project delivery ensure compliance with quality and functional safety standards (such as ASPICE and ISO 26262) and drive continuous improvement across engineering processes. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to plan monitor and manage quality objectives throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation and monitoring of ASPICE and ISO 26262 Functional Safety processes across all project phases.

  • Define and track project quality metrics audits and assessments to ensure process adherence.

  • Collaborate with project managers and technical leads to define and execute quality assurance and safety plans.

  • Conduct process compliance audits gap analysis and risk assessments; recommend corrective and preventive actions.

  • Support development teams in requirements traceability verification/validation and change management.

  • Facilitate Functional Safety (FuSa) activities including hazard analysis safety concept design and confirmation reviews.

  • Coordinate with OEMs Tier-1s and certification bodies for process safety and quality compliance reviews.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen engineering practices and documentation standards.

  • Manage project planning tracking and reporting using tools such as Jira Polarion or DOORS.

  • Ensure delivery within defined cost schedule and quality objectives.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related field).

  • 8 years of experience in automotive embedded software development or systems engineering with at least 3 years in Process Quality or FuSa roles.

  • Strong knowledge of ASPICE ISO 26262 and quality management systems (QMS).

  • Proven experience in project management including planning risk management and stakeholder communication.

  • Familiar with Agile/SCRUM methodologies and tools like Jira Confluence and ALM suites (e.g. Polarion DOORS).

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to work across teams and influence process adoption.

  • Certifications such as Automotive SPICE Provisional/Competent Assessor or ISO 26262 Functional Safety Engineer are a plus.

Preferred Skills:
  • Exposure to Cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434) and Software Quality Standards (ISO 9001 IATF 16949).

  • Hands-on experience with V-model development software verification/validation and tool qualification.

  • Experience in audit readiness and customer assessments.
